This year, Seagate one of the most leading manufacturer of computer and laptop storage products all over the world, has developed the new hi-tech ultra portable hard drive, named as the FreeAgent GoFlex. The new version of this portable hard drive is equipped with 1.5TB storage capacity, under the same name as the previous capacity version. Seagate announced that FreeAgent GoFlex external hard drive is the first 2.5” portable HDD with 1.5TB storage capacity, in the world. Another thing that makes FreeAgent GoFlex 1.5TB breaking the world’s record is that it is equipped with USB 3.0, which is said to perform connectivity speed 10x faster than USB 2.0. With the capacity, this HDD is ideally able to store thousand of images and music, and as much 750 games.

Vice President of Seagate’s Global Retail Sales And Marketing, Darcy Clarkson, stated that FreeAgent was introduced and sold to the customers with three ‘crowns’; they are record-breaking storage capacity, faster USB 3.0 connectivity transfer, and some entertainment bonuses as movies. The three ‘crowns’ this HDD gives makes it the most innovative and extraordinary resolution. Clarkson also stated that GoFlex and another innovation from Seagate, Momentus XT solid state hybrid, are proofing that this technology manufacturer is still holding the higher leadership of technology on storage industry.

FreeAgent GoFlex from Seagate, which comes with 1.5TB storage capacity, has loaded with Star Trek, a blockbuster movie from Paramount film. This ultra-portable hard disk storage is sold at around $250, with basic features as equipped with USB 3.0 and Windows and Mac OS compatibility.
