AT&T and Research in Motion have launched the newest high-performance Blackberry Torch 9800. This smartphone is a great touch-enabled slider-type phone that can bring some new experiences for people who love to use BlackBerry. BlackBerry Torch 9800 is the first BlackBerry smartphone that uses BlackBerry 6 OS, and it is also the first smartphone that combines a full touch-screen with QWERTY keyboard. Even better, BlackBerry Torch 9800 is the first phone that can support AT&T’s new messaging capabilities, the first with BlackBerry App World preinstalled, and many more.

Mike Lazaridis, the president and co-CEO for Research in Motion said that the launching of this smartphone is one of the greatest launches in Research in Motion’s history, and the company is proud to introduce it. Mike Lazaridis also state that BlackBerry Torch 9800 with all the new features and capabilities is great for regular consumers and business professionals.

BlackBerry Torch 9800 package includes a 4GB microSD memory card, and it will be available on August 12 exclusively for AT&T customers. The sleek smartphone will be priced at $199.99 with a 2 year contract.
