Canon Pixma Pro9500 Review

Canon brings its newest product to the market with some improvements in ability and ink productions. It is Canon Pixma Pro9500, the new series which is one step ahead from the previous series, Canon Pixma Pro9000. Slightly, these two printers are twin based on the size dimension and its ability to print the sizes of up to 13×19 inches. In general, these both printers can be utilized to print on any paper types. The printers also allow you to print the large size paper by using the manually fed single sheet front tray.

More specifically, both Pixma Pro9500 and Pro9000 seem like to have specialty in photo printing without giving in the print on plain paper ability. However, although in general these two printers share many similarities, the difference is in fact coming into surface somehow. Pro9500 is the pioneer product of Canon desktop photo printers, whereas Pro9000 has a slight fallback which is the ink.

Canon Pixma Pro9000 equipped with 8 colors of ink which are light cyan, cyan, yellow, black, magenta, light magenta, green, and red. On the other hand, the Pro9500 uses 10 ink colors. The number of colors is quite significant learning that normally printers only have 4 or 6 colors. The two black ink cartridges in the Pro9500 enable to print a matte black finish for both non-glossy and glossy paper. There is also a gray ink cartridge that allows you to print a black and white photograph with more smoothly shade of gray tone. Therefore, if you think that you will work with more monochrome photographs printing, Pixma Pro9500 definitely will suit you.

Furthermore, with the number of inks Pixma Pro9500 offered, Canon argued that the gradations of photos are possibly being improved since the use of pigment inks produces the smoother shading changes. Thus, the photograph longevity enables to be extended. For further details of the photographs durability, Canon stated that monochrome photographs have a 200 year longevity lifetime if you store them in the dark and not expose it to sunlight. In addition, color photographs have a 100 lifetime when stored in dark place and for the photographs kept behind the glass have 50 years of lifetime.
